Summer Festival 2014
In the north state of India like Jammu and Kashmir and also Himachal Pradesh basically summers season starts from the last of the April month which continues till the last of July month. During this season the main summer festival was celebrated in the famous tourist spot of the state including Dalhousie, Manali, Shimla and Dharamshala. These festivals were organized by the state tourism department in association with district tourism department to entertain the tourist. The main motive of organizing such festivals in the state is to increase the tourism in the state and also provide some kind of entertainment for the visitors. Summer Festival 2014 of Dharamshala will be started from the 23rd July and which will continues for the several days. This festival was celebrated every year in the month of June and takes place for several days.
Main attraction of festival
In the night local artist of the state performed so many cultural programs in which so many peoples participate including the peoples from the other states. Apart from local artist Punjabi and Hindi singers like Mohit Chauhan, Honey Singh, Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghosal also perform in the festivals. In the opening ceremony chief guest will inaugurate the function and on the same day school children perform various acts.

This year the main attraction festival was the temple made by the local artist of the district Mr. Vijay Mehra and the unique thing in these temple is that all these temples are built up or design with the bamboos. He has built the same duplicate copy of the Brijeshwar temple of the Kangra district with bamboos. When you'll these temples then you can't believe with your eyes that is it true or our imagination. They also have built other things with bamboos and exhibited all these things in the festivals which attract more peoples towards himself and most of the peoples like the painting and appreciating his talent.
While talking to media he said that currently he has made the Brijeshwar temple design but in the coming one year he will build the main temple of the state like Lakshmi Narayan temple Chamba, Hat Koti Temple Shimla, Bhima Kali temple Rampur, Hadimba Temple Manali and Chainee Koti Temple Kullu. And all these temples will be exhibited in the state art library in the Shimla districts for the tourist to tell about these temples so that they will know about the design of all famous temples of the state.

This festival was celebrated in the Dharamshala region of the Kangra district which is about 15 KM from the ISBT of Kangra district. You can easily reach this place by bus as well as aero plane and train. There are so many buses are available for this place from other parts of the state as well as outside of the state.
