History of the Festival
This festival was initially started in the 16th century when the local king of the Kullu district was cursed by the Rishi and to escape from the cursed he told him to her servants to bring the idol of Lord Raghu from the Ayodhya and when they will take that idol to this place than only the king will be escaped from the curse because when he eat everything becomes very hot. So one day the peoples of king has stolen the idol of the Lord Raghu from the Ayodhya and they have taken it to the Kullu district but after next morning, the people of Ayodhya have seen that idol was not present in the temple so they started searching the idol and finally they got that idol in the Kullu but when they pick that idol from the Kullu it becomes so heavy and they can't pick it and finally they said this idol should be placed in this place and after that the people of Kullu district have started celebrating this festival every year.
Main attraction of the Festival
This festival was celebrated every year in the month of October and will be continues for the seven days. This festival will be started after the whole country has celebrated this festival means Kullu's Dusshera will be started after the 11 days of Nav Ratra. When this festival will be started than so many local Gods and deities will be participated in the Dhalpur grounds and peoples takes blessing from these Gods.
