Darshan is the elder son of famous Kannada Movie actor "Thoogudeepa (Tugudeep) Srinivas" and Meena Thoogudeepa (Tugudeep). His birth place is Mysore, Karnataka.
Darshan finished his primary and higher school education in Mysore.

Initially Darshan started his career as a junior film artist in Kannada film industry (Sandalwood).
Debut movie of Darshan as Hero is Mejastic. In the movie "Mejastic" Darshan showed his acting skill and talent and finally succeeded in winning the hearts of Kannadiga's (Sandalwood).
"Mejastic" movie gave big break to Darshan. subsequently Darshan got many offers in Sandalwood/Kannada Film Industry. The movies Kariya, Kalasipalya, increased the popularity of Darshan.Initial movies succeeded in attracting the only young generation of Karnataka. Later in the movies Namma preethiya Ramu, Anatharu, Laali Haadu,Ee Bandhana, etc..Darshan succeeded in attracting the fans from all age groups of Karnataka.Darshan's acting in as a blind singer character in the movie "Namma preethiya Ramu" is really great.
And Darshan acted in the Historical drama "Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna", which is yet to be released.Darshan also acted in two telgu movies.
