Priyamani did not get that much success as all her initial releases like Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, Evare Atagaadu and Satyam saw a huge flop!
Things lustred up with the release of Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam a tamil flick in the year 2005. The film gained lot of fame due to the acting performance of Priyamani in the movie Kangalal kaidhu sei. In the year 2006, Priyamani delivered a hit Pellaina Kothalo a telugu movie opposite of telugu super star Jagapathi Babu.This movie also saw lot of gain due to her action capability.
After so many years of Hard ship, Kannada Actress Priyamaniproved her acting capacity in a commercial tamil flick Paruthiveeran which released in the year 2007 where she was starred opposite of debutant Karthi Sivakumar,younger brother of Tamil super star Suriya! A rural subject which told the story of a notorious young villager boy in Madurai in Tamil Nadu, the film won tremendous gain and also became a surprise box-office blockbuster hit in the Kollywood Industry!
Kannada Actress Priya mani also had another blockbuster hit in Telugu, where she was starred opposite of telugu star Jr. NTR in the film "Yamadonga and opposite Vishal in the Tamil film Malaikottai.
Priyamani again received critical acclaim in 2008 for her role in the Malayalam film Thirakkatha, in which she played a role based on the turbulent real-life story of late film actress Srividya. Kannada Actress Priyamani won another Filmfare Award for her performance in this movie flick.
In the year 2009 Kannada Actress Priyamani had two Tamil releases, the commercial entertainer Arumugam and the Tamil remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Classmates, titled Ninaithale Inikkum, in which she was paired for the third time with Prithviraj. The former was a commercial failure, while the latter was considered a moderate success.
Her Kannada debut opposite Kannada Actor Puneet Rajkumar in Raam was also a great block buster hit!
In 2010 Kannada Actress Priya mani acted opposite Mammootty in the satirical film Pranchiyettan & the Saint which went on to become the longest-running Malayalam film since 2005.Kannada Actress Priyamani won a Filmfare nomination for her role as a Mumbai-based interior decorator in the film.
