The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association & Dental Colleges Association have set up the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka, better known as COMEDK. This consortium organizes a Common Entrance Test & Centralized Counselling to facilitate selection of candidates on the basis of merit for admissions to PG courses offered by member institutions. Eligibility for COMEDK PGET-2012
1. You should have successfully passed your M.B.B.S./B.D.S. from any institution which is recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI)/Dental Council of India (DCI)
2. You should have completed or will be completing your internship by 30th April 2012 at the latest.
3. As per the official rules of M.C.I., the minimum percentage of marks in the Entrance Test (COMEDK PGET-2012) for eligibility & admission must be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes (All India) and Other Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State only.
4. 5. If you are an Indian national with a recognized degree from a Foreign University, the M.C.I./D.C.I. may (after you have paid the prescribed fees for registration) give you temporary/permanent registration for the duration of the Post Graduate course to the institution to which you are admitted for the time being.Documents required for applying for COMEDK PGET-2012
1. You need to submit a DD for Rs.2000/- drawn in favour of COMEDK payable at Bangalore. Make sure that you mention your application number & applicant name behind the DD.
2. Your printed Online Application form properly filled in.
3. The printed online COMEDK copy of Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof in the prescribed form duly attested by the head of the institution where you have studied last (or a Gazetted officer not below the rank of Tahsildar of the area in which you are a resident).
4. You have to send Photocopies of all your marks cards including that of failed year if any (First Year to Final Year University marks card/s).
5. A Photocopy of the attempt Certificate which is a statement indicating the number of attempts you have made to clear a particular subject/year.
6. A Photocopy of yourInternship Completion Certificate or your Internship Completed Certificate, as is the case.
7. A Photocopy of your Degree Certificate / Provisional Degree Certificate.
8. A Photocopy of your Registration Certificate.
