The K. L. E. Society's College of Engineering and Technology, Belgaum Karnataka is affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. Set up in 1979, the college is recognized by A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi, and Govt. of Karnataka. In 2009, it was renamed as the KLE Dr. M. S. Sheshgiri College of Engineering & Technology after Dr. M.S. Sehshagiri donated 40 lakhs to the college.

Eligibility criteria for PG courses: Candidate must have passed the relevant degree examination with minimum of 50% marks/in aggregate of all the years of study as follows:
M.C.A. : Any Graduate with Mathematics / Statistics / Comp. Sc. / Comp. Prog. / Comp. Applications /Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as a subject at 10+2 level or at Degree level
M.B.A : Any Bachelor's degree of minimun 3 yrs duration recognized by V.T.U with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate of all the years of degree exam. In case of SC/ST aggregate marks shall not be less than 45%.
