Before exploring other areas of the park, you should first visit the beautiful Cubbon Park Aquarium by buying admission tickets to do so. The aquarium is open from Friday to Wednesday and the timings are from 10a.m. to 5p.m. 
The aquarium is considered as of the largest aquariums in the country. The architectural style of the building is unusually shaped in the form of an octagon. Huge varieties of plants to improve the greenery are not planted here, but instead specific plants species in specific areas of the park have been planted and maintained well, including magnificent fig trees, silk cotton trees, and beautiful laburnums and huge banyan trees at head of all of them.
An unusual tree by name Albizia lebbeck which means "woman's tongue tree" can be found among the trees in Cubbon Park. Because the sound made by the pods of the tree resembles the sound of ladies chattering, this tree has been names so.
