Uttarakhand Technical University
A state university which is situated at Dehradun and is a technical university. Established on 27th January 2005 by the government itself on the act 2005 for Uttarakhand Technical University. Earlier the name was Uttaranchal but since the name has changed henceforth, the name is also changed. It run AICTE approved courses through affiliating institution, which are 91 in number.
Courses in Uttarakhand Technical University (UKTU) The courses run by the university are, MBA (2years), MCA (3 years), B.Tech (4 years), M.Tech (2years), B.Arch (4 years), BHMCT (4years). PhD regular as external is also available.
In 2006 the first batch came into being.There are 35000 students in the university currently. University constituent institution and campus for academics are established in 2009 for M.Tech, M.Pharm and Ph.D and B.Tech at Tehri(2011),Women Institute of Technology (2011).
