Uttarakhand State Government finally finalized quarrying policy in Uttarakhand. In this article you will find complete information regarding this news. Quarrying policy will help Uttarakhand Government to control illegal quarrying in Uttarakhand which will help state government to increase state revenue and will also help to provide most of the necessary construction material at very fair prices. This decision was taken in a meeting comprising of all the Uttarakhand District Magistrates. Rakesh Sharma who is the Principal Secretary of Industry and Quarrying in Uttarakhand asked all of them to search all the quarrying areas in all the Uttarakhand districts. According to Sharma Forest Development Corporation will have the rights to do quarrying in reserve forest area. Along with this Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam and Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam will keep working in revenue areas in Uttarakhand. According to officials each district of Uttarakhand is now having own quarrying officers in each district. All the DMs of Uttarakhand will have to send lease proposals depending upon the quantity of quarrying area in their respective districts. Uttarakhand Government will also provide some additional funds for this work. According to Dilip Jawalkar who is the District Magistrate of Dehra Dun Dehradun is nearly having about 900 hectares of area
for quarrying.
