This city of district Dehradun is situated at an height of 1,876metres (6,155ft) from the sea level on the foothills of Garhwal hill. Vinog Mountain Quail Sanctuary is about 11kms from the south of library point and is an old sanctuary established in 1993 covering an area of 339 hactars. Nagtibba is about 34kms from Mussoorie and an ideal place for trekking. The municipal gardens of Mussoorie are gardens with artifically created lake and a perfect picnic spot.

Taxis, cars and rickshaws are not allowed on Mussorrie Mall. You have to walk there but on but on the other parts of Mussoorie you can go through taxis and cars.
