Himalyan shrine which is one of the famous shrine in region is reopened just a day after Kedarnath was thrown open for Pilgrims. Shrine was reopened with pleasant climate and chanting of vedic hymns with shlokas. Doors of the shrine were opened at 04:00 hrs early morning.
During the opening ceremony of the shrine, hundreds of devotees including Anil Ambani and Nira Radia gave their presence. This shrine is situated at a height of 3,133 meter in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
Uttarakhand is famous for pilgrimage places and Badrinath and Kedarnath are among most famous and are among the four holy places visited by pilgrims during the 'chaardham yatra' in Uttarakhand. Except these two places, Gangotri and Yamunotri are other places where pilgrimage visits during their Chaardhaam Yatra.
These pilgrimage places are reopened during April-May every year and after that they remain closed for nearly six months during winters.
