Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (SET) Latest Structure of Paper III
The exam that is necessary to work as a professor of any University/Institution/Colleges is called as Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (SET) and it is conducted twice in a year by the University Grants Commission. Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (SET); has 3 papers in which first two papers are of objective type questions and both papers are of 100 Marks each. Important note here is that it has no negative marking scheme. So, it’s simple to qualify for the paper III.
Paper III is divided into four Sections and the time allotted is 2 hours and 30 minutes only. Hence, it is necessary to know how to score more in paper III and I will be introducing you to the exact structure of it.
Section I
This section consists of 2 questions which carries a total of 40 Marks and both the questions are to be answered in 500 words. This section is to determine the candidate's ability to answer in descriptive manner and extend the theme so as to simplify understanding that is relevant to given question. Here, writing speed has to optimum because there is a limited time and remember that you have to write 1000 words in this Section .Section II
This section consists of 3 questions which carries a total of 45 Marks. Here each question carries 15 marks and each question is to be answered in 300 words. In this section the examinees ability to hold an argument and give relevant reasons for the given question is tested. Hence, this section also needs to be well prepared because you have to answer it in 900 words. This section has questions from all the electives and the examinees can select one set of 3 questions as per their Elective paper's choice.
Section III
This section consists of 9 questions which carries a total of 90 Marks. That means each question will be weighted for 10 Marks. This section will not have any options to select from. Hence, all 9 questions will have to be attempt. Here, focus will be given on the ability of examinees to understand the topic or question and also their presentation will be calculated. Each question has to be answered in 50 words and in all the candidate has to write 450 words for this section. In this way, if well prepared, the examinees can score more marks in this section.
Section IV
This section consists of 5 questions which carries a total of 25 Marks. Each question is weighted for 5 Marks and every question needs to be answered in 30 words. Therefore, in all, this section requires 150 words to be written. In this section the ability of examinees is determined on the basis of formulating a concept that are relative to critical thinking and comprehend the concept from the listener's point of view and their grasping ability.
In this way every section is to be well prepared and examinees need to be follow time limit and a proper strategy.
