UPSC will be conducting Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination 2012 for selecting young engineers for Indian Railway Mechanical department. स्पेशल क्लास रेल्वे अप्रेंटीस परीक्षा
भारतीय रेल्वेच्या mechanical विभागामध्ये तरुण engineers निवडण्यासाठी केंद्रीय लोकसेवा आयोगामार्फत स्पेशल क्लास रेल्वे अप्रेंटीस परीक्षा घेतली जाते. भारतीय रेल्वे निवडलेल्या विद्यार्थ्यांना ४ वर्षांचा प्रशिक्षण देते. या प्रशिक्षणासाठी विद्यार्थ्यांशी नोकरी संदर्भात करार केला जातो. प्रशिक्षण संपल्यावर विद्यार्थ्यांची कामगिरी बघून रेल्वेत नोकरी संदर्भात निर्णय घेतला जातो आणि गुणवत्तेच्या आधारावर रेल्वेमध्ये Mechanical Engineer या पदावर काम करता येत.
निवड झालेला विद्यार्थी ४ वर्ष क्लासरूम ट्रेनिंग आणि प्रात्यक्षिक प्रशिक्षण पूर्ण करून Birla Institute of technology (Ranchi) या संस्थे ची पदवी मिळवतात. ४ वर्षांचा शिक्षणाचा संपूर्ण खर्च भारतीय रेल्वाय करते. प्रशिक्षण काळात सुमारे ९१०० ते ९७०० विद्यार्थी वेतन मिळते.
Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination 2012 is conducted by UPSC for selecting young engineers for Indian Railway Mechanical department.
Eligibility Qualification :
1. HSC Science stream (appeared or passed with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and mathematics.
2.Graduates with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as their degree subjects may also apply.
3. Applicant must have passed the first year Examination under the three year degree course of a university or the first examination of the three year diploma course in Rural Service of the National Council for Rural Higher Education or the third year Examination for promotion to the 4th year of the four year B.A./B.Sc. (Evening College) Course of the Madras University with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination provided that before joining the degree/diploma course he/she passed the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or equivalent examination in the first or second division.
Age Limit for the Railway Apprentices UPSC Examination :

Please note that applications are accepted ONLY through online application form. Physical applications are not accepted.Subjects and Pattern for the written exam for Railway Apprentices UPSC Examination :
The Written examination for Railway Apprentices will be conducted on 29 January 2012.
The written examination is for a total of 600 marks divided in 3 sections.
Paper 1 : General Ability Test (English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test)
Paper 2 : Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry)
Paper 3 : Mathematics
Personality Test carrying a maximum of 200 marks is conducted for only those candidates who are declared qualified on the results of Written Examination.
Selected candidates are given 4 years Engineering Degree education from Indian Railway with a contract. In these 4 years period students are paid a stipend of Rs.9100 (for first 2 years), Rs.9400 (for 5th and 7th semester), Rs.9700 (for 6th and 8th semester)
