UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) will be conducting a Combined Defence Services Examination 2012 for admission to the various courses for recruitment in the Military, Naval and Air force services for Indian Defence system. From the score in this single exam one can secure admission in the following government institution :
1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun
2. Indian Naval Academ, Ezhimala
3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad
4. Officers Training Academy, ChennaiPaper pattern for CDS examination :
Written examination will be comprising of 3 papers of 100 marks each for the subjects English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics.
Mathematics syllabus is up to SSC/10th grade level. Other two subjects difficulty level will be of graduation level.
Mathematics paper is not essential for admission in Officers Training Academy, Chennai for SSC(Short Service Commission)
