Details of 10th ODI - India Vs Australia:
Today, 26th Feb 2012, there was the 10th One Day International (ODI) match between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) in Australia. In this match it was Shane Watson who was leading the Aussies team for the first time in his ODI carrier. In this match Team Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Indian Team on the field was brilliant and it restricted the host at a total of 252 runs at the cost of 9 wickets.
The main thing to remember about this match was that Zaheer Khan was again injured and he could not support Team India with his pace attack. So how long is Team India going to rely only of Zaheer Khan? Now it's time to select few dedicated bowlers who has a high standard of fitness and the selectors should now look upon the fitness issue first rather than the quality of the player. It's disgusting that the main strike bowler gets injured at a crucial stage in the tournament.
Winning Total to be chased by Team India:
After the Aussies finished batting, it was the India's turn to score up and chase a mere total of 253 runs. Today it was Virendra Sehwag who took 3 wickets in the absence of Zaheer Khan. In this way India restricted the host very well and put up a decent total on the board. At first it seemed a mere total till India was one down with the Virendra Sehwag being caught and bowled by Ben Hilfenhaus. At this point of time the turning point came where everything was going well till the 7th over of the Indian's Innings. 
The seventh over was being bowled by Brett Lee. At the last ball of this over the Gautam Gambhir was on the strike and he replied for the call of Sachin Tendulkar. As soon as Brett Lee started to run towards ball he came in to the way of Sachin Tendulkar and did block his way to complete the run. What I want to say is that if he was running towards the ball then why he stopped in the way of Sachin Tendulkar. He could have watched the ball by standing to the other side of pitch. Role of Third Umpire:
Brett Lee should have been at least given a warning to not obstruct the field. Also it would be fair enough if the Third Umpire would have fined him at the end of the Match. Brett Lee should be interviewed by the media and they should ask him that what was his intention by coming in the way of Sachin Tendulkar unintentionally or intentionally? I feel that he knows the rules of Cricket but at times he is too clever to overlook them.
How many times we the Indian Cricket fans will have to see Sachin Tendulkar being given out intentionally or unintentionally? Also it is necessary for the International Cricket Council (ICC) to please try and maintain the quality of ODI's where every player will strictly follow the rules of cricket. In this way the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was again given OUT due to poor Umpiring standards. Every Umpire's who have given poor decision against Sachin Tendulkar, may it be unintentional or by mistake, should come together and improve their level of Umpiring.
