Jyoti Amge, the World's shortest woman from Nagpur in Maharashtra state, India, according to the Limca book of records and Guinness book of records has joined Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS). Jyoti, who is now 18 years old with a height of 62.8cm (24.7 inches), is a resident of Nagpur. 
She was born to Kishan and Ranjana Amge in the year 16 December 1993.She has restricted height due to a growth anomaly called achondroplasia, which is a common cause of dwarfism. The fact is that she has brittle bones, which is likely to need care for the rest of her life. Everything is different for her in this life. Even at school, she had her own small desk and chair. At home, she even slept tin a specially made bed and used utensils that were smaller than average. Previously a documentary featuring Jyoti was broadcasted in UK on channel 4 on June 2009 called bodyshock: Two Foot High teen. The members of Raj Thackeray's MNS party were delighted to make Jyoti their active member. Next week she will be meeting MNS chief Raj Thackeray in Mumbai to plan her future with the party. Most of you may have a question whether this little have any previous experience with politics? To your surprise, I will add that she is no stranger to politics. Jyoti had campaigned for MNS candidates during February's Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Elections. Thus she became the world's smallest election campaigner. Her celebrity status in India makes her endorsement a major spectacle. It is interesting to note that Jyoti will be acting in 2 Bollywood films by 2012. She always felt grateful for being small, that it had brought her recognition.
