K.R.Vijaya was a famous actress in South Indian film industry. She acted in more Tamil films. She was born on 30th November, 1948 in Kerala State, but stayed in Palani during her childhood. Her Father worked in film industry with Actor M.R.Radha's drama group. So he wanted her daughter to became actress in tamil film industry. She was a popular actress in a tamil, malayalam, telugu and hindi film industry. K.R.Vijaya affectionately called as "Punnagai Arasi" in Tamil film industry.Career of Tamil Actress K.R.Vijaya
K.R.Vijaya started her career in the year 1960. K.R.Vijaya was very talent in dance. So she used to dance and act on the stage shows. One day, Gemini Ganeshan, a tamil actor watched her talent and performance in dance. He said her to get a good chance to acy in the tamil film industry. The first chance for her to act in the film "Karpagam" directed by K.S.Gopalalakrishnan released on 1963. Her Character role is good in this film. So afterwards she had done many other films.
K.R.Vijaya was acted more than 500 films in south indian film industry. She acted with many toppest actors like M.G.R, Sivaji, Jai Shankar, Muthuraman, Gemini Ganeshan etc. Her favourite actress were Padmini, Vaijayanthi mala, Saroja devi and Savitri.
K.R.Vijaya was acted in more devotional films and in the role of Amman. Her first devotional film is "Namma Veetu Dheivam". She was conferred the title "Punnagai Arasi" in Tiruchirapalli on the year 1973. Her first and 100th film was directed by K.S.Gopalakrishnan. K.R.Vijaya also acted in Television serials. She first started playing as a Mother role in the film "Dheerga Sumangali".
Some of her achieved films are Karpagam, Selvam, Anargali, Saraswathi Sabadham, Nenjirukkum varai, Namma veetu Dheivam, Dheerga Sumangali, Idhaya Kamalam, Thanga pathakkam, Thirisoolam etc many of her films reached toppest in tamil film industry. She was talent in ating and Bharatnatyam. Her sister K.R.Vatshala is also an actress in some films and many TV serials. She played in many role like romantic lady, mother's role, sister's role and deity's role in many films. Her smile and charming look was inspired by Tamil fans.
