The Tamil movie Vaanam revolves around five different characters and each having a different story. But all the five stories are interconnected and a solution to all the problems is the climax of the movie.
Simbu (Raja) plays the role of cable TV operator. He is a slum dweller and his ambition is to marry a girl from a rich background. He fakes Pooja (Jasmine), a rich girl.
Anushka (Saroja) plays the role of a prostitute. She escapes from the brothel house and wants to lead a peaceful life.
Bharath (Bharath Chakravarthy) is a youth who wants to become a famous rock and he wishes to give a good live show.
Prakash Raj (Rahim) and his wife Sonia (Zara) comes to Chennai after losing their twins from Dubai.
Saranya Ponvannan (Lakshmi) borrows money here and there for her son studies.
All these 5 characters meet in a hospital due to various reasons. Now the wonderful part of the screenplay is all these characters are inter-linked and ends in a interesting climax.Artists Performance in the movie Vaanam
