Preparation of the Varalakshmi Pooja Kalasam
Before the day of the pooja clean the house well because Goddess will always love the clean home. Next day decorate the house entrance with Kolams and then prepare the kalasam. The kalasa Sombu should be cleaned well and thread is encircled and then a gold coin or ring is kept inside and then turmeric powder is added. Mango leaves and coconut are placed on top of kalasam.
