Suchitra Sen is one of the famous Bengali Actress in the Bengali Film Industry. She was also acted in many Hindi films in Bollywood. She was born on 6th April in the year 1931 at Pabna of Bangladesh. Her original name was Rama Dasgupta. Her father's name was Karunamoy Dasgupta and Mother was Indira Devi. She was also awarded with many prestigious awards such as Dadasaheb Phalke Award in the year 2005 and Best Actress in Moscow film festival in the year 1963. Her husband's name is Dibanath Sen. Her daughter is Moon Moon Sen who was also a famous Bengali Actress. After Suchitra Sen 'smarriage she entered in to the film industry. She is known as the Famous Bengali Actress in the Bengali Film Industry. In that time the famous Actress was Suchitra Sen and the famous actor was Uttam Kumar. Thy acted in many famous Bengali films. Some famous films of them are: Bipasha, Harano Sur, Shap Mochan, Chaowa-Paowa, Sagarika, Grihadaha etc. She was the first Actress who was awarded from an an international film festival. The first film of Suchitra Sen is "Shesh Kothaay" in which she was acted in the year 1952. But the bad news this film was not released due to some disturbance. But after she acted in the Bengali film "Sharey Chuattor" which became a hit film in Bengali film Industry. Her first Hindi film was "Devdas" for which she was awarded with the Best Actress Award. She retired from the film industry in the year 1978 and after she lived with a new life. After that she spend her most time in her "Puja Ghar". She was a follower of Ramakrishna Mission.
