Public Service Commission, West Bengal invites application from eligible candidates for Assistant Engineer (Civil) recruitments in Engineering Department. PSCWB Recruitment 2012 for Assistant Engineer Examination date is on February 2012 which will be held in Kolkata. PSCWB Assistant Engineer (Civil) Recruitments 2011 Selection Procedure

The candidates have to undergo a combined competitive examination which contains multiple choice objective questions. The written examination for this competitive examination will be held in Kolkata. The successful candidates will be called up for an interview at Commission's office in Kolkata. The PSCWB Assistant Engineer 2012 merit list will be based on the total marks secured on the written exam as well as on the interview.

PSCWB 2011 Assistant Engineer Recruitment Eligibility Criteria and Pay Scale

Payscale: The payscale for PSCWB Assistant Engineers 2011 Recruitments (PB-4) ranges from Rs. 9000/- to Rs. 40,500/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-. The gross emoluments at the entrly level will be Rs.21000/- and besides this you are entitled for D.A, M.A and H.R.A admissible as per norms.

Age Limit: The age limit for PSCWB 2011 Recruitments for Asst. Engineers should not be above 32 years and however the upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years for SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and 3 years for BC and 45 years for differently abled persons.

Qualification: The candidate should be Civil Engineering graduate from a recognized university or should have equivalent qualification. Should have an ability to read, write and speak bengali is essential but not required for Nepali speaking candidates who belongs to Hill areas of Darjeeling District.

Candidates who have got one year Post-Graduate practical training or study or research or practical engineering experience are more likely desirable for this job.

Candidates who are eligible and interested to apply for this job have to pay a fee of Rs.210 by the means of Indian postal order which should be crossed and endorsed to Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal or can take a receipted challan from Goct. treasure in West Bengal or the Reserve bank of India, Kolkata under the head "0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees". The postal order which you have taken should be made payable at G.P.O Kolkata. They will not accept any other money order, cheque, bank draft, cash etc. The envelope should be superscriped with Advertisement No. 15/2011 and name of the examination. The application form should be filled with candidate's own handwriting with blue or blank ink. The candidates have to submit the filled in application form to the below mentioned address either personally between 11:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m on all working days at the Enquiry Counter.
