There are about 16 domes and 4 Minarets are present in this mosque. There are two Imam managing this Tipu Sultan Mosque now. But one of the Imam is in politics, so the other Imam manages all the works of this Mosque, such as : Imamat, leading Namaaz etc. The Mosque runs by the rents of Ghulam Mohammed properties which is known as royal family trust.

Tipu Sultan Mosque was founded in the year 1980. The Welfare Committee members of Tipu Sultan Mosque are : Izhar Khan, Seraj Mubarki, Syed Zafar, Mohammad Sharfuddin etc. The chairperson of this Welfare Committee is Mohammad Sharfuddin and the secretary of this Welfare Committee is Aziz Mubarki.

This Welfare Committee of Tipu Sultan Shahi Masjid is under the guidance of Janab.Sami Mubaraki. This Committee helped about Rs 21,501 for the Tsunami victims in the Prime Minister's Tsunami fund in the year 2004. So in a brief words this Tipu Sultan Mosque is one of the famous and popular Mosque not only in Kolkata but also in our country India.
