Want to take a test of Barfi? Hey, I am not meaning about Ice cream, it's about the recently released Hindi movie 'Barfi' directed by Anurag Basu. If I compare this movie with Barfi (Ice Cream), I think I am not too wrong. In Barfi Ice Cream in whatever ways you eat- by biting or by rolling in your mouth, both will give you a sweet ending though the experience would be different. When I was watching this movie, I could not understand why Anurag Basu directs movie like 'Kites'. And Again we can watch another Bollywood movie that was shoot in our Bengal- Darjeeling after Kahaani movie. In both movies the directors are Bengali- Basu and Sujoy Ghosh. Actually Bengali directors in bollywood love to make movie in Bengal. They have showed that hindi movie can also be shoot in Bengal more precisely in India. In our tollywood movie the director have a tendency to shoot in foreign countries like Malaysia, Switzerland etc by creating the budget doubles! I think I am move away from the main topic. In Barfi movie, Anurag Basu has created three special people- one who can't speak or hear, one who is autistic and one who initially can't able to understand herself but later can understand the rest of them. Barfi (Ranbir Kapoor), a deaf and mute guy who fall in love with two girls- Shruti (Ileana D'Cruz) and Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra). The movie runs for 150 minutes without a single line of dialogue. When you will watch the movie, sometimes you will feel that you are watching a movie of Keaton's, Charlie Chaplin and Mr. Bean- the mixed of their legendary touch. Shruti fall in love with Barfi with a hero who can't hear her. She talks with with Barfi with her deep, dark eyes. After Shruti, Jhilmil comes into Barfi's life. The two challenged people challenge the world around them and make a sweet bond of love, trust and friendship. But, when Sruti comes back and claims her share of love, the real climax of the movie Barfi appears. The three Bengalis- Jishu Sengupta, Rupa Ganguly and Haradhon Banerjee are fantabulous undoubtedly about their appearances. I will be surely beaten up if I start to criticize about Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra by those who have just watched the movie Barfi.
In one word Barfi is a nice brilliant movie by Anurag Basu in the year 2012. You should not be kept yourself away by only reading my review.Cast and crew of Hindi movie Barfi
