The Transport Ministry of West Bengal has increased the minibus, private bus and taxi fare in Kolkata and West Bengal from 31 October 2012. Since the price of diesel, petrol, taxes and other petroleum products are increasing daily, the bus and taxi associations were in a difficult situation. In view of this, the Government of West Bengal has increased the ticket fares which will be effective on and from 1 November 2012.
