The University of Calcutta invites applications from graduates for admissions to its B.Ed. program for the academic year 2013-2014. Admissions will be strictly on the basis of merit. 95% seats will be reserved for Calcutta University students & 5% for non-CU students.About University of Calcutta

1. You must have a Bachelor degree and/or Master degree from Calcutta University or any other recognized University. You should have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate in your graduate exam. (45% marks for Physically Challenged category & 40% marks for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Categories).
Note: The 50% marks requirement will not be applicable if you were appointed as a teacher prior to the commencement of the NCTE, (Regulations, Norms & Procedure) Second Amendment Regulations, 2010.

3. Age criteria: If you a fresher candidate, the age limit is 40 years. The age limit is 45 years for deputed candidates as on 30th June 2013.
