The best type of fish to add in your aquarium is goldfishes. They are beautiful, small and low maintenance fishes. Types of goldfishes that you can add in your aquarium-
1. Common Goldfish
The common goldfish is easy to find and as the name suggests is the most commonly found type of goldfish. They have a robust immune system and are more resistant to diseases.Due to this, they require less maintenance and care. This is one of the main reasons why it is a hit among the first time aquarists.
They are flat bodied and are good swimmers. They can grow upto a foot in length and have a life expectancy upto ten years. Generally they can eat almost everything from worms and other small insects to vegetables. 2.Comet Goldfish
They look almost similar to the common goldfish except that they have longer and more pronounced fins and tails. The long tails add grace to the fish and these type of fish are a delight to watch. It's fins are almost as long as the main body of the fish itself. It has the longest tail fin among the gold fishes.
Like the common goldfish, they too have a robust immune system and are omnivorous, so there is not much need to care about them.3.Shubunkin Goldfish
The body shape and size is same as other goldfishes, but their bodies are more streamlined and the coloration is different. They have patches of gold and metallic and more transparent colors. They come in a variety of color unlike regular goldfishes like red, white, black, blue, gold etc.
Shubunkin, like the other two types of goldfishes has a robust immune system too and hence is a good candidate for first time aquarists.
As a beginner, you can rear and pet these goldfishes. They will give you more confidence and experience in dealing with other types of fishes and you can slowly grow your collection.
