Ingredients:
Bread = 5 Slices
Semolina = 1/2 cup
Onion (finely chopped) = 1 cup
Green chilly (chopped) = 3
Ginger (chopped) = little
Curry leaves = few sprigs
Oil = for frying
salt = to taste
Water = 2 tbps
Method:
1.Take the bread sices and cut the edges.Then, grind it well on the mixer.
2.Take the semolina and add to it.
3.Take a pan and pour oil in it for frying. Let it get heated.
4.Add all the ingredients onion, ginger,green chilly, curry leaves.
5.Add little salt to taste and mix well all the ingredients.
6.Sprinkle little amount of water and mix it well to make a dough of chappathi or roti like consistency.
7.Make into small balls and keep it aside.
8.This is an instant recipe .So,it can be done immediately and there is no waiting period.
9.After the oil gets heated , add all the bonda balls into it.
10.Fry till the colour turns golden brown.
11.Thats it. Crispy bread bonda is ready.
Tips:
1.Salt should be added in a very small amount as the bread already contains salt in it.
2.It can be eaten with any chutneys or tomato sauce.
Making bread bonda seems to be very easy and takes little time. Suitable for working men and women to prepare in short time. I think coconut chutney will be a suitable side dish.
