Koraput is always an attractive place filled with natural resources and scenic beauty. The district is situated at a height of 2,900 ft above the sea level. Presence of the giant great mountain valleys, Perennial waterfalls, rivers, extensive grass lands and the tribal culture make it a wonderful visiting place in Odisha. The Highest water fall of Odisha, Duduma Waterfall is situated in MachhaKund River of Koraput Dist of Odisha. The Height of the waterfall is 157 meters (about 515 ft.), which makes it majestic. The waterfall is also famous as "Matsya Tirtha". A large Hydro-Electric Project popularly known Machkund Hydro Electric Project is supported by the waterfall. Duduma waterfall forms a boarder between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. A small village named Ankadei , which is about 3 km away from the waterfall is an attractive place because of its weekly markets and Primitive Bonds. The picturesque surroundings and natural beauty around it makes it a good picnic spot as well. Duduma Waterfall is about 88km away from Koraput.Jeypore, The Royal City of Koraput
Jeypore, the city of Victory is an important place of Koraput. It is important in the point of Trade and marketing. The palace of the ancient Kingdom with the old fort is always a place to watch.

Gupteswar, the holy shrine shiva lingam is situated in the cave inside the forest of Ramagiri Hills. It is a famous pilgrimage place of Koraput Dist. which is about 45 Km. away from Jeypore. Surrounded with dense forest having rare big Sal trees and Saberi river makes the place even more interesting. One can find other caves also apart from the main cave of Gupteswar.

Koraput is being connected to NH-5 is not a difficult place to reach. One can reach here both by Bus and Train. By road, the distance is less as compared to Railways.
Koraput Railway Station is the nearest railway station. Berhampur is about 350 Km, Bhubaneswar 520 Km away from Koraput.
